Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Aeroport ("we") processes when you use this website, why, and the choices you have.
Information we process
- Approximate location. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) tells us your approximate city from your IP address so we can suggest your nearest airport. We don't store your IP address with this information.
- Precise location (optional). If you tap "Use my location", your browser shares coordinates, which we use only to find nearby airports. They are not stored.
- Searches. Route, dates, travellers and cabin are sent to our fare data providers (Travelpayouts/Aviasales; SerpApi for Google Flights if enabled) to retrieve prices. Results are cached without personal identifiers.
- Price alerts. We store the route, your target price and, if you provide it, your email address, linked to a random identifier in a cookie. Emails are sent only after you confirm via the link we send.
- Contact messages. We store the details you submit and a one-way hash of your IP address for abuse prevention.
- On your device. Saved trips, theme, currency and departure airport are stored in your browser (local storage and first-party cookies).
Cookies and advertising
We use first-party cookies for preferences (currency, departure airport) and to link your alerts to your browser (ag_sid, HTTP-only).
We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a certified consent management platform before personalised ads are shown.
We also work with other advertising networks, such as Adsterra, which may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads. Ads are always labelled and shown in separate frames.
Site statistics
To understand which pages are useful, we count page views, searches and clicks to booking sites with our own cookieless statistics. For each visit we record the page, the referring website, your country (from your IP address), your device type and, for clicks, which booking site and route you chose. We do not store your IP address; visits are grouped using a one-way code that changes every day, so we cannot recognise you across days. These statistics are kept for up to 180 days.
Outbound links
When you click through to a booking site, that site's own privacy policy applies. Some links include referral identifiers so the site knows the visit came from Aeroport.
Retention
Alerts are deleted when their travel date passes or when you remove them. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months. Cached fare data expires within hours.
Your choices and rights
- Delete alerts any time from the Price alerts panel; each alert email includes a one-click stop link.
- Clear saved trips and preferences by clearing your browser's site data.
- To access or delete information you sent us, contact us. We respond within 30 days, consistent with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws.
US state privacy rights
We don't sell personal information for money. Advertising partners may use cookies to show personalised ads, which some US state laws (such as California's CCPA/CPRA) treat as "sharing". You can opt out by using the links in the Cookies and advertising section above, by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser, or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
Aeroport is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We'll update the effective date above when this policy changes.
